Zoom, Focus, Image Quality

Looking for plenty of zoom, but must have fast focus and good anti shake and excellent image quality. I have to give up low price for all this, and I am drawn to Panasonic FZ150 and Canon SX40HS. Opinions welcome.
I have an Olympus 550 UZ which is great for scenery, but I get too many rear ends of birds and bears, and some blank sky pictures. I'd like to take the picture of how I first saw them.
