What about adding the camera's strong and weak points/uses compaired to its compeditors to the reviews

I am not a camera expert but more of a new camera enthusiast still learning so excuse me for my uneducated and maybe confusing way of explaining this but I think it would be nice to see Snamsort's opinion on what they think each specific camera would excel at and what the camera's biggest weakness would be. Like one example could be to say that Canon's 5D Mrk II would be good at low light shots because of the 35mm sensor as well as landscape shots but wouldn't be as good at telephoto (compared to other cameras) because of the crop factor (or lack there of?). Another thing I would like to see is what would be the recommended use, as to say that this camera is best for people who want to take handheld shots for sports or whatever (i.e. a camera with a quick shutter and good image stabilization) and this camera is best for people who primarily use tripods and enjoy landscapes/wildlife or capturing creative motion or movement in photos (i.e. cameras the focus on long shutter speeds, low light capabilities, and/or image quality).

  • Hi Cameron, thanks for checking out the site and taking the time to send us feedback!

If I was to say it back to you, it sounds like you're suggesting that Snapsort could identify what "uses" a camera would be good at, and identify those on comparison and camera pages.

Thats a great idea, and definitely something we're going to do at some point. Currently Snapsort does something like this for individual features/specs, but not for uses so much. E.g. On the Canon 5D Mk II page Snapsort lists "low noise at high ISO" as an advantage of this camera, but it doesn't talk about higher level things like "great for sports photography".

Awesome I look forward to the possibility of this coming into effect. It won't be hard for the more experienced photographers.
