Rate the specs - not the preference

PLEASE!
Rate the popularity of a camera APART from what you think of the lens, sensor, image quality, etc. To weight popularity 100 when specific criteria for image quality is 1/3 of that makes no sense. According to Gallop most Americans buy because of price, not quality. i want to know what camera is going to give me the best image... not what the average point and shooter finds cheapest at Wal-Mart. Don't LESSEN "Popularity" Seperate it. Thx
