Outrageous prices for discontinued cameras

The new Snapsort is really great. One thing I'll note is that "price" should be disregarded for obsolete cameras. I was pointing out to someone how much better a new camera (even a cheap one) is than her old Canon S200 (vintage 2002). While your comparison tool is right-on with most of the factors, the pricing is weird in that it picks up a $1,300 price for an S200. http://snapsort.com/compare/Canon_Pow... I'd suggest discarding anomalous prices. (I can imagine a number of ways to write an appropriate classifier.)

    happy I’m thankful
Hi Tim, thanks for pointing that out.

We have seen strangely high prices on outdated products, but I think whats happening here is our system is matching an old camera (the S200) against a modern camcorder (also called the S200).

Regardless, we'll look into it, thx.

I'd love to pick your brain on how you might approach writing a classifier, if you wanted to connect email me, alex at snapsort dot com.
