Error in Product Review / Summation
The Sony Alpha A55 DSLT has significantly more than 92 lenses available since all Minolta / Konica Lenses can be used Is snapshot paid by Nikon?

Hi Buzzmurdock, heh, our name is Snapsort, not Snapshot :) No, we are not paid by manufacturers.
The numbers we use for available lenses are meant to be "currently available for-sale lenses". We pull the numbers from search results at B&H Photo Video, on the assumption that they have a really comprehensive selection of lenses.
Do you think we've applied this criteria unfairly, did we miss some lenses that are available for sale for the Sony? Consider, there are many more lenses available for Nikon too, Nikon has made TONS of lenses over the years, many/all of which will work with a Nikon DSLR. -

I see - however isn't it true that Sony has gone above and beyond most other manufacturers to ensure that nearly their entire line of lenses (as well as after market lenses like Sigma) can be used on their DSLR's and DSLT's?
The ability to use nearly every A lens ever made by Minolta makes it something that should be included in any review of the product. Nikon, on the other hand does NOT have that same capability. Many yes, all no.
As for the paid endorsement question - just a fair question as it seems so many review sites do but do not disclose so. As a consumer and a blogger myself, that is a very important consideration. So no offense intended.
Thanks for explaining your methodology. -
