I like the camera sorting (by scores) very much, but think it would be really useful to have a way to customize the scores given to the cameras.
For instance, I think the "popularity" is widely overrated with a weight of 50. I reckon it could help making the difference between 2 cameras which come very very close in everything else, but I'd personally not give more than 3 or 5 points for that. Then on the "just tell me" page only popular cameras show up, and better (but less popular) cameras are buried.
As an example we could change the score to take only image quality, viewfinder and price into account. Or only video and popularity. Or whatever we like!
This could be done on the camera score page, instead of having fixed text under "weight" there could be input fields and then in the bottom an "apply site-wise" button or something like that.
NB: this is quite similar to the "explore" function, but there we put absolute cuts (I don't want any camera above 1k$, or below 75 absolute IQ, etc.). This is a bit too strong IMO, a scoring would be better.

Hi Xavier, I like your thinking. We definitely plan to go in this direction.
We've done a little bit of this with explore as you mentioned.. As you add explore criteria, it increases the weights for those criteria, you can probably see this in action if you hit "explain score" from the explore page, you'll see a different score than from a comparison or camera page. -

Yes I had noticed this effect with the cameras being re-ranked, but it is more difficult to understand than the scores which are explained in detail (and I must say again that I really like seeing the details: it's very helpful!)
