Canon 550D does not have a focus motor.
Canon 550D does NOT have an in-built focus motor, as reported on your site when compared to the Nikon D5100. No Canon has, but on the other hand, nonen is needed.

As a matter of fact, not a single Canon EOS camera has a built in motor, that's one of the foundations of the system. -
